So far our research and acquisition of materials needed for our project has gone well. We were quickly granted access to all materials in the Weisbrod Aircraft Museum’s archives that pertained to the Pueblo Army Air Base (PAAB) from World War II. There have been some hiccups and some concern about the scope of our project but from what I have gathered from our group of four; myself, Shanon Sinclair, Lee Marshall, and Michael Moore, we will be able to come together and make a fantastic project that will not only help to understand the history of the base, but the vitality of it in Pueblo’s history. From what we’ve found Pueblo had a large role in the war effort just as the PAAB had on Pueblo, Colorado as well. I look forward to delving deeper into the vast records and files we have and am considering taking this project much deeper at a later date after successful completion of my Bachelor’s degree.
